The Lemmings DS Custom Level Organiser Utility is a utility for combining .lds Lemmings DS Level files with a Lemmings DS ROM, allowing them to be played on the Nintendo DS.
To use the application, load files into the internal level set in memory, and then save this level set to combine it with Lemmings DS, allowing it to be played on hardware.
This will bring up a dialog asking you to locate the Lemmings DS ROM (.nds, .ds.gba, .gba) file that you wish to load. Loading a ROM allows you to extract any levels within back to standalone .lds files.
This will bring up a dialog asking you to specify the a name for Lemmings DS ROM (.nds, .ds.gba, .gba) file that you wish to save. Saving allows you to combine all levels held in memory with the clean Lemmings DS ROM held in the vault, creating a new ROM which can be played on hardware. You have a choice of three ROM types:
.nds, a standard Nintendo DS rom file, compatible with
.ds.gba, this has an appended header, it is most compatible with GBA flashcarts.
.sc.nds, this is a renamed .ds.gba file. Some Supercard products work better if they use a ROM that has ndsloader header.
If you do not supply the appropriate extension to the filename, then it will be added automatically.
This displays a bit of information about the current version of the program.
This will exit the application instantly. The current level set is not automatically saved.
This will allow you to add a new level to the internal level set. It will create a dialog asking you to locate the Lemmings DS Level (.lds) file that you wish to add to the level set.
This removes the selected level from the internal level set.
This will save the selected level from the internal level set as a standalone Lemmings DS Level (.lds) file. It will show a dialog asking you to specify the a name for the Lemmings DS Level (.lds) file that you wish to save to. If you do not type the .lds extension to the filename, then it will be added automatically.
This shows a dialog containing info about the currently selected level within the internal level set:
This removes all of the levels from the internal level set.
The level list lists all of the levels in the current internal level set. The two numbers to the right of each level are: the level's size in bytes, and the level's effective size after packing.
The file size display shows the expected file size of the final combined Lemmings DS ROM if it is saved as a .nds file with the current internal level set.
